October '12 Brings Rendezvous Return
The 2012 October whitewater season will be highlighted by the return of the Russell Fork Rendezvous. The event will take place at Carson Island. The 2012 Russell Fork Rendezvous will be the last release weekend to match it back up with the Lord of the Fork downriver race on Saturday October 27. There'll be music, featuring the traditional open stage AND scheduled acts like Foddershock. We'll have films on the big screen from NPFF, contests, prizes, bonfires, food and the great vibe that can ONLY be found on the banks of the Russell Fork! Admission will be $10. Two rules to keep in mind: no dogs and no original containers (please use CUPS!).
The 5th annual Baddlun will coincide with Paddler Appreciation on Saturday, October 13. The Baddlun brings extreme athletes from across the country to bike, paddle and run a course no person in their right mind would tackle. Check rfbaddlun.blogspot.com for more details. Baddlun participants gather at Rat Hole at 11am. The annual ECAHC Paddler's Appreciation will be at 5pm, Carson Island.
Of course, the main event during season is the incredible whitewater every weekend in October. Whether you're a Class V master or a Class III neophyte, there's something for everybody in October on the Russell Fork!
